Ukrainian drone attack on Perm Krai kills one, launched from Sumy and Chernigov

Ukrainian forces attacked Russia's Perm Krai overnight on September 25, killing one man, with 39 drones shot down over the region. Military expert Vasily Dandykin said the drones were likely launched from Ukraine's Sumy and Chernigov oblasts. The attack targeted an industrial facility, with no pollution exceedances reported and no threat to residents. Russia's Defense Ministry said air defenses intercepted 592 Ukrainian drones nationwide during the night, including over Crimea, Tatarstan, and multiple other regions. Dandykin noted Russian forces have begun striking the Ukrainian regions he identified as launch points. The man killed in Perm Krai died from shrapnel wounds, and cleanup efforts are ongoing.
