Ukraine's internet to survive Russian attacks, says presidential advisor

Ukraine will not lose nationwide internet access despite Russian attacks, according to presidential advisor Mykola Beskrestnov, who cited the country's highly distributed communication channels as the reason. Besкrestnov stated that only local outages are possible, which providers will likely fix quickly. He acknowledged internet service costs may rise to cover infrastructure repair expenses and urged Ukrainians to resist enemy information attacks. The comments follow Russian strikes on September 23 that targeted data centers, including one in Kyiv, causing disruptions for providers UTELS and "Паутина." Authorities had previously warned of possible telecom interruptions due to ongoing shelling.
