Russian drone strike damages Kyiv's High Council of Justice, halting work

A Russian drone strike damaged the building of Ukraine's High Council of Justice in Kyiv on Friday morning, September 25, temporarily halting its operations. Six people were reportedly injured, and emergency response is ongoing. The High Council of Justice is an independent constitutional body responsible for judicial governance, including recommending judge appointments, deciding dismissals, reviewing complaints, and approving detentions. The attack followed an overnight drone assault on the capital. Explosions were reported in the Pecherskyi district, where a 14-year-old child was killed in a strike on an apartment building. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported nine injured people across the city, with a non-residential building also hit in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
