Russian drone strike damages Kyiv-region lyceum with 1,100 students

On the evening of September 25, Russian forces struck the Ivankiv Lyceum No. 2 in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region with a drone, setting over 300 square meters of the building on fire. No injuries were reported as children were not present at the time. The educational facility, which serves approximately 1,100 students, was hit in what regional governor Timur Tkachenko called a terror attack on civilian infrastructure. Emergency services were working to contain the blaze, and Tkachenko condemned the strike on a school. Earlier that day, a Russian drone attack near an office building in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district killed seven people and injured 57. The overnight assault on the capital also affected multiple districts, following a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv the previous day that killed two and wounded eight.
