Russian drones hit lyceum and kindergarten in Kyiv and region

Russian forces struck a lyceum and a kindergarten in Kyiv and the surrounding region with drones on the evening of September 25, causing fires and casualties. The attack on Ivankiv Lyceum No. 2 in Kyiv Oblast's Vyshhorod district engulfed over 300 square meters of the building, according to regional military administration head Timur Tkachenko. No children were present, and no injuries were reported at the school, which enrolls about 1,100 students. In Kyiv's Obolon district, a drone hit a two-story building, preliminarily identified as a kindergarten, sparking a fire, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported. Klitschko stated that 59 people were injured in Kyiv that day, with 25 hospitalized, one in serious condition, and seven fatalities. Separately, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported a Russian strike on a warehouse used by McDonald's in Kyiv Oblast, which the company confirmed.
