Zelensky tells Trump Ukraine is ready for de-escalation: "Solutions are possible"

Zelensky agreed with Trump that the war must end, noting Ukraine has sought peace since the Russian invasion began. He said dozens of diplomatic proposals have been presented, and dialogue with Trump and the US is ongoing. Zelensky proposed that Russia stop targeting Ukraine's energy sector, critical infrastructure, and food exports, which would lead to corresponding de-escalation steps from Ukraine. He plans to discuss these ideas at the UN General Assembly in New York this week.
