Trump says Russia lost control of diesel industry after refinery strikes

During a Sunday phone call, Trump mentioned the idea of suspending Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil facilities, though he did not make a formal request. Zelensky responded by listing proposals for peace, including de-escalation measures, and warned that Ukraine would continue attacks on Russian territory if Moscow rejects the proposals. White House envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff visited Kyiv in September to revive US mediation efforts in the conflict.
