Russian strikes on Ukraine kill three as Zelenskyy attends UN summit

Russian strikes on Ukraine killed at least three people and wounded six others, targeting industrial sites and energy infrastructure across several regions overnight. The attacks knocked out power to nearly 100,000 residents, Ukrainian officials said. The barrage involved 212 drones, four cruise missiles, and other missiles, hitting Dnipro, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions. Russia confirmed the strikes, while Ukrainian drones killed one person in Russia's Samara region. The attacks coincide with President Zelenskyy's visit to New York for the UN General Assembly. Zelenskyy plans about 20 meetings, including with US President Donald Trump, to discuss air defence and funding. France and the US agreed to work toward a moratorium on strikes targeting energy networks and civilian infrastructure.
