Ukrainian air defense downs 3 of 4 drones, one hits Dnipro railway station, killing 13

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian air defense shot down three of four Russian drones targeting the Dnipropetrovsk region on Thursday, but one struck a railway station in Dnipro, killing 13 people and wounding 13 others. The attack occurred around 11:00 a.m. on October 29, when Russian forces launched four jet-powered strike drones at the region. The missile hit a platform where train No. 866 Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia was located, according to the Air Command East. President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the US, Europe, and G7 to impose stronger sanctions on Russia following the strike. This attack follows an October 27 drone assault on Dnipro that damaged six apartment buildings, two lyceums, and a children's stadium.
