Oleshky residents evacuating to Ukraine will be routed via Russia and Belarus
Residents of Oleshky, Kherson region, wishing to evacuate to Ukrainian-controlled territory will be routed through Russia's Anapa and then flown to Belarus on a Russian military transport plane, according to documents published by Fox News. The documents, described as a ceasefire agreement for Oleshky, were signed on October 23 by the Ukrainian and Russian ombudsmen. The flight from Anapa's Vityazevo airport to Gomel is scheduled for October 31, with Ukrainian official Dmytro Lubinets and two journalists accompanying the evacuees. The agreement also outlines further repatriation efforts in Kherson region, to occur at least monthly with assistance from US First Lady Melania Trump. Around 1,700 people remain in Oleshky facing severe shortages, prompting a humanitarian ceasefire that began on October 27.
