Ceasefire in occupied Oleshky holds for two days without violations

bbc.com (Russian) —

A ceasefire in the occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky has held for over two days without violations, according to Russian and Ukrainian human rights officials. Both sides report full compliance with the agreement. The truce, brokered with the mediation of Melania Trump and Pope Leo XIV, aims to deliver humanitarian aid and enable civilian evacuations. A convoy with food and medicine is scheduled to arrive on Friday, with demining of routes currently underway. Around 1,500 residents, mostly elderly and disabled, remain in the city, which has faced severe shortages of electricity and water. Ukrainian officials plan to evacuate willing civilians via Belarus on October 31.
