Ukrainian human rights commissioner visits Oleshky in Kherson region
Ukrainian human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets and a delegation traveled to the Oleshky area in the Kherson region on Thursday to oversee a humanitarian mission there. The delegation's departure was announced by David Arakhamia, head of the presidential party faction, who said they would monitor the operation and report as communication becomes available. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated Russia expects Oleshky residents to receive humanitarian aid and be able to leave if they wish. The ceasefire in Oleshky began on October 27 and lasts until November 1. Demining is reportedly progressing successfully, with aid delivery planned for October 30. Reports indicate residents who agree to evacuate may first be transported to occupied Crimea or Russia before returning to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
