Russian strike on Dnipro station kills 14, injures more
A Russian attack on a railway station in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro killed 14 people and injured at least 14 others, according to Ukrainian officials. The strike hit a crowded platform during a period of intense overnight and morning aerial assaults across the country. A jet-powered drone struck a platform where a train from Dnipro to Zaporizhzhia was located, the Ukrainian railway reported. Six injured people are in serious condition, including an 11-year-old boy, and two teenagers were killed in a separate attack on Chernihiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for new, stricter sanctions from the EU, the US, and the G7, citing the attack as evidence that easing restrictions has not led to de-escalation. The Ukrainian air force reported Russia launched 112 combat drones overnight, with 97 intercepted.
