Russian drone strike on Dnipro train station kills 14, wounds 14 others

bbc.co.uk —

At least 14 people were killed when a Russian jet-powered drone struck a crowded platform at Dnipro's main railway station in central Ukraine, with 14 others wounded, including an 11-year-old boy, local officials said Thursday. The attack hit as a passenger train bound for Zaporizhzhia stood at the platform, according to state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia. An elevated threat level had been announced ahead of the strike, but many people remained on the platform when the drone hit, its head said. Russia has not commented on the Dnipro strike, though it denies deliberately targeting civilians. Separately, two 15-year-old girls were killed in a missile attack on Chernihiv, and Moscow reported shooting down 613 Ukrainian drones overnight during the Russia-Africa Summit.
