Russian Strike on Dnipro Station Kills 13; Zelensky Urges US and EU to Keep Sanctions
A Russian drone attack on a railway station in Dnipro, Ukraine, killed 13 people and wounded 10 others, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack and urged the US and EU not to ease sanctions on Russia. The attack targeted a track holding a commuter train and a passenger train. Zelensky linked the strike to the recent lifting of sanctions on some Russian oligarchs and the energy sector, calling for new, stricter measures from the US, EU, and G7. In other incidents, a Russian attack on Chernihiv killed two 15-year-old girls, and a drone strike on Kremenchuk killed three people. A Greek container ship also sank in the Black Sea after being hit by naval drones.
