Russian drone strike on Dnipro station kills 13, wounds 10
A Russian drone strike hit the platform of a railway station in Dnipro, Ukraine, where a commuter train and a passenger train were standing, killing 13 people and wounding 10, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky confirmed the casualties and called on the US, Europe, and the G7 to impose stronger sanctions against Russia, criticizing the recent lifting of sanctions on some Russian oligarchs and the energy sector. He said the attack occurred on October 29 despite warnings of heightened danger, with many people present on the platform. The strike targeted the area where the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia train was located. Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian railway company, reported that many people were on the platform despite the security warnings.
