Ukrainian delegation heads to occupied Oleshky for humanitarian mission
A Ukrainian delegation led by ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets departed on Thursday, October 29, toward occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region, where a US-mediated ceasefire is underway. Parliamentarian Davyd Arakhamia announced the mission. Lubinets confirmed the delegation aims to deliver humanitarian aid to residents and work on ensuring safe evacuation. The ceasefire, in effect since 03:00 on October 27, has seen no violations in 54 hours, with demining ongoing and first aid deliveries planned for October 30. The truce, brokered by First Lady Melania Trump on October 23, lasts until November 1 and was expanded to include Kherson and other areas. Evacuees will reportedly be routed via Anapa and Belarus to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
