Trump Signals Readiness to Escalate Iran Conflict

President Donald Trump told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst he is considering escalating the conflict with Iran, including the option to "blow the entire nation up," according to a report aired this weekend. Yingst said Trump is in "deciding mode" and choosing between wiping out Iran, economically crippling it, or making a deal, adding that the president asked, "if and when do I blow the entire nation up?" Trump also said he is open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the UN General Assembly in New York this week. The threats follow U.S. embassy security alerts across the Middle East warning of "potential for unforeseen escalation" after Houthi rebels intensified attacks on Saudi Arabia. Trump claimed he has been in "constant communication" with the Houthis, who he said agreed not to fight the United States.
