Trump Signals Possible Iran Action, Open to Meeting Pezeshkian

Trump reportedly said the question is "when to blow up the whole country" and that Iran should behave well. He also said he might be open to meeting Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly. Both leaders are scheduled to visit New York for the UN meetings, with Pezeshkian speaking on September 23 and Trump on September 22. Trump also claimed the Houthis have agreed not to attack the US, amid heightened Middle East tensions and a State Department travel advisory issued September 19. Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary signaled willingness to resume negotiations, while the Houthis struck Riyadh the same day.
