Iran has warned it will attack US warships anywhere in the Indian Ocean if war resumes, citing hypersonic missiles now reaching Mach 10 and vowing to keep the Strait of Hormuz shut, as President Donald Trump weighs striking, economically squeezing, or negotiating with Tehran. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said US ships would be targeted unless they leave the Indian Ocean, adding that electronic warfare systems and air defenses have been improved. Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the "old American order" in West Asia has collapsed and urged regional Islamic countries to build a new framework. Trump, in "deciding mode," outlined three options: "wiping Iran out," "letting them rot economically," or "making a deal," while remaining open to talks. The US and Israel struck Iran on February 28, and a June ceasefire framework collapsed within weeks, with shipping through the Strait of Hormuz a key flashpoint.
