Trump Won't Intervene in Brazil Election, Calls It 'Very Strange'

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

US President Donald Trump said he will not intervene in Brazil's post-election situation, acknowledging that defeated candidate Flavio Bolsonaro is in the United States. Trump called the election "very strange" while speaking to reporters on Wednesday. Bolsonaro declared himself Brazil's true leader after losing the election and fleeing to the US. He arrived with his wife and two daughters at a special airport near Miami, Florida, used exclusively by US border and customs services. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won the second round of presidential elections and is set to lead Brazil for a fourth time. Bolsonaro's whereabouts had been unknown for over a day before his arrival in Florida.
