Trump grants Bolsonaro entry but stays out of Brazil dispute
US President Donald Trump confirmed Washington granted entry to former Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro but said he will not intervene in the situation. Trump stated he takes no position on Brazil's recent election results. Bolsonaro, his wife, and two daughters landed in Miami on Wednesday. The senator declared himself the election winner on social media and plans to continue political struggle from abroad after losing Sunday's vote and being ordered to surrender his passports. Brazilian authorities have opened an investigation into possible foreign campaign financing for Bolsonaro, who also faces two criminal cases involving money laundering. His Senate mandate expires in February 2027, after which he could face prosecution.
