Flávio Bolsonaro reportedly arrives in US after election loss
Mexican investor Simón Levy claimed on social media Tuesday that Brazilian senator Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived in the United States, allegedly coordinated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, less than 48 hours after losing the presidential election. Reuters also reported the possible departure, though no Brazilian or US official has confirmed it. Levy, a self-described ally of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, said Bolsonaro would lead opposition against President Lula from the US and dubbed the operation "Alba." The senator had not surrendered his passports to federal police as ordered by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes in a money laundering investigation, leading to their cancellation. Brazil's Agência Brasil sought comment from Bolsonaro's office without response. The court order remains under judicial secrecy, though Bolsonaro publicized it himself on social media.
