Flavio Bolsonaro flies to Ecuador after Brazil election defeat
Brazilian conservative Senator Flavio Bolsonaro and his family are flying to Ecuador from Argentina after leaving Brazil following his defeat in the presidential election, Argentine authorities said Wednesday. The son of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro crossed the land border into Argentina "with valid travel documents and no legal obstacles," according to a statement from Argentina's National Directorate of Migration. He then boarded "a private flight chartered by Baires Fly S.A. bound for Guayaquil, Ecuador." The departure follows Bolsonaro's electoral loss, with the outcome marking a setback for Brazil's conservative movement. The senator's exit from Brazil comes amid ongoing political tensions in the region.
