Flavio Bolsonaro declares himself Brazil's true elected president from US
Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro declared himself the legitimate elected president of Brazil on Wednesday, claiming his victory was annulled by an electoral coup orchestrated by President Lula da Silva and the Supreme Federal Court. Bolsonaro lost the presidential runoff and left Brazil for Miami with his family. He thanked Argentine President Javier Milei and US President Donald Trump for support, alleging electoral fraud, political persecution, and that a judge attempted to seize his passports. The senator fled Brazil a day after being ordered to surrender his passports within 24 hours. He is investigated for money laundering alongside lawyer Willer Tomaz, and claims he left to avoid imprisonment and censorship.
