Trump backs Flávio Bolsonaro's US visa after Brazil passport defiance
President Donald Trump said he approves of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro's trip to the US, where the US government will grant visas to him and his family after he left Brazil defying a court order to surrender his passports. Trump also criticized Brazil's presidential election held Sunday, in which Flávio was defeated. The State Department confirmed Tuesday it would allow the senator's entry but did not say if he is already in the country. Flávio left Brazil after Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered him to hand over passports; he missed the Tuesday deadline. Argentina confirmed he and three relatives entered via Misiones, and reports say he later arrived in Florida to meet his brother Eduardo.
