Brazil's Bolsonaro flees to Miami after election loss
Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro fled to Miami after his electoral defeat, declaring himself the rightful leader of Brazil and claiming without evidence that the election was stolen by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Bolsonaro accused Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin of "illegitimate activity" and alleged a "mathematical impossibility" added 10 million votes between election rounds. He failed to surrender his passports as ordered, instead traveling through Argentina and Ecuador before entering the US with a cancelled diplomatic passport. US President Donald Trump confirmed Bolsonaro was allowed entry, and reports indicate he plans to establish a political operation in exile. Brazilian police are investigating his passport non-compliance but do not classify him as a fugitive.
