Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro flies to Miami despite pledge to stay in Brazil
Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro arrived in Miami with his family on Wednesday, two days after stating in an Instagram video that he would never leave the country and would surrender his passports to federal police as ordered. In the Monday video, Bolsonaro said he was summoned by police at his father's residence and called the investigation an "aberration." He attributed the travel ban to comments by his brother Eduardo suggesting he should leave Brazil if defeated in the election. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes also barred Bolsonaro from contacting lawyer Willer Tomaz amid a money laundering probe. Bolsonaro additionally faces investigation over alleged corruption involving Banco Master owner Daniel Vorcaro and a film project about his father.
