Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro Flew to Ecuador After Entering Argentina
Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro and his family entered Argentina on Tuesday night and flew to Ecuador, according to Argentina's National Directorate of Migrations. They crossed the border at 10:50 PM and departed on a private flight to Guayaquil at 11:30 PM. The four travelers presented valid documentation and had no legal impediment to entering Argentina, the agency said. The crossing was registered without incident, two days after Bolsonaro's defeat to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brazil's presidential election runoff. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes had ordered the retention of Bolsonaro's passports and banned him from leaving Brazil amid a money laundering investigation. His passports were canceled after he failed to surrender them, and federal police are now investigating his departure.
