Flávio Bolsonaro denies fleeing Brazil, says he left via Argentina
Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro published two versions of a letter on Wednesday, claiming he was the "true elected president" before revising it to call himself "leader of Brazil" after losing the election to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva by 4.4 million votes. Bolsonaro arrived in Miami after leaving Brazil through Argentina, denying his departure was a flight and saying he will lead the opposition from the United States. He cited unproven claims of electoral fraud and thanked Donald Trump and Javier Milei for their support. Trump said he will not get involved in Brazil's post-election turmoil, while Governor Tarcísio de Freitas urged respecting the election results. Senator Rogério Marinho confirmed plans to align opposition strategy with Bolsonaro.
