Trump backs visa for Brazil's Bolsonaro after election loss
President Donald Trump said Wednesday he approves of Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro coming to the United States after his election loss, following reports the U.S. would grant entry visas to him and his family. Bolsonaro left Brazil for the U.S. after refusing to comply with a Supreme Court order to surrender his passports, and has not conceded to leftist incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Trump called the Bolsonaros "fine people" and criticized the Brazilian election as "terrible." Trump also discussed other topics, including hopes to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a nuclear disarmament meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and a November trip to Manila. He faces U.S. mid-term elections next week.
