Brazilian Court Seizes Flávio Bolsonaro's Passports in Money Laundering Probe
Brazil's losing presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro has been banned from leaving the country and ordered to surrender his passports amid a money laundering investigation. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered Bolsonaro's passports, including his diplomatic passport, invalidated and handed over within 24 hours. The 45-year-old senator is investigated for possible money laundering and illegal transfers abroad, with police examining alleged financial interests in gambling linked to lawyer Willer Tomaz. Both deny wrongdoing, and Bolsonaro is also barred from contacting Tomaz. Bolsonaro said he never planned to leave and will fight the decision, calling it an attempt to intimidate him. He faces a separate corruption probe tied to financing a film about his father, ex-president Jair Bolsonaro. He lost Sunday's election to incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who won 51.8 percent to 48.2 percent.
