Italy's Crosetto calls US satellite cutoff to Ukraine a grave error
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto called the US decision to limit Ukraine's access to satellite systems and intelligence information a "complete, grave error" that risks prolonging Russia's invasion. He warned that showing weakness would convince Putin he can win. In a BBC interview, Crosetto argued peace will only come when Putin believes he faces a stalemate. He pledged Italian military support would continue while his government remains in office, though parliamentary approval for further deliveries will become harder as elections approach. Crosetto blamed an active Russian disinformation campaign for shaping skeptical Italian public opinion, while noting Italy has avoided major sabotage attacks. He described hundreds of daily cyberattacks against the country.
