Iran sets seven conditions for peace with the United States

Iran has presented the United States with seven conditions for peace, according to statements by senior officials Mohsen Rezaei and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who signaled Tehran's readiness to both fight and negotiate. The conditions include a ceasefire on all fronts, release of Iranian overseas assets, and lifting the US naval blockade of Iranian ports, which were part of a June framework agreement. Iran insists these must be met before reopening the Strait of Hormuz to shipping. The US has not yet responded, with Washington previously rejecting the June deal. Iran also threatened to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and said it is prepared for a new war, while offering to mediate between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia.
