Brazilian Judge Seizes Bolsonaro's Passport in Corruption Probe
Brazilian far-right candidate Flávio Bolsonaro said a judge ordered him to surrender his passport on Monday over fears he might flee after losing the presidential election to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. He is under Supreme Court investigation for alleged corruption and money laundering linked to Banco Master. Bolsonaro stated on social media that federal police served the order as he left his father Jair Bolsonaro's home, where the former president is under house arrest serving a 27-year sentence for an attempted coup. The order came from Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who oversaw his father's trial. Lula defeated Bolsonaro with 51.79% of the vote versus 48.21%, securing his fourth non-consecutive term as Brazil's president.
