Lula Victory Recognized by Flávio's Allies; Zema Alleges Fraud
Allied parties of Flávio Bolsonaro have recognized Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's victory in Sunday's presidential election, while former Minas Gerais governor Romeu Zema alleged fraud. Flávio himself has refused to concede and plans to challenge the results. Leaders from Republicanos, PSD, União Brasil, MDB, and PSDB issued statements accepting the outcome, urging unity and dialogue. Flávio lost by roughly 4.4 million votes and cited a two-hour voting extension ordered by Supreme Court Minister Cristiano Zanin as grounds for annulment, though his own coalition had requested extensions in some regions. Zema called the election "a Venezuela-style coup" and "the most alarmist and lying election" he has seen. Governors Tarcísio de Freitas and Augusto Cury have not yet commented.
