Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro ordered to surrender passports by Supreme Court

oglobo.globo.com (Portuguese) —

Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro was summoned Monday by federal police to surrender his passports, under an order from Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes. He is also prohibited from leaving the country. The measure follows an October 23 interview in which his brother, Eduardo Bolsonaro, said Flavio should leave Brazil if he lost the presidential election. Flavio, who lost Sunday's runoff, denied ever planning to leave and questioned the decision's timing and political motivation. Flavio is under investigation in two Supreme Court cases, including one on alleged money laundering via betting platforms and another on financing for a film about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro.
