Argentine lawmaker accuses government of using public funds for Flavio Bolsonaro's escort
Argentine lawmaker Marcela Pagano accused the government of using public funds to escort Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro during his passage through Argentina, citing a "chain of irregularities" in border controls. Pagano said Bolsonaro entered overland from Foz de Iguazú without a Brazilian exit stamp, and that Argentine Federal Police (PSA) agents escorted him in diplomatic vehicles paid for by taxpayers. She also alleged political maneuvering ordered by President Milei and claimed authorities are pressuring witnesses in Misiones to erase security camera footage. Chief of Staff Diego Santilli defended the border agency, stating Bolsonaro and his family entered and left Argentina with proper documentation. The senator traveled to the United States after losing Brazil's presidential runoff to Lula da Silva.
