Carlos Bolsonaro apologizes to father after brother's election defeat
Carlos Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, released a video Wednesday saying he apologized to his father for the family's failure after his brother Flávio's defeat in the 2026 presidential election. During a two-hour visit to his father's home in Brasília, where Jair Bolsonaro is under house arrest, Carlos said he became emotional and told him, "Sorry, dad, we failed." He reported his father responded with encouragement, saying, "Negative, keep your head up, let's go. There is still much to do for Brazil." The video, posted three days after Flávio Bolsonaro's loss, has garnered 1 million likes on Instagram. Carlos did not mention his brother's departure to the United States on Tuesday.
