Milan clashes: 18-year-old gets house arrest after kicking police

leggo.it (Italian) —

An 18-year-old arrested during Sunday's clashes in Milan has been moved from jail to house arrest with an electronic bracelet. The judge ruled prison unnecessary due to his clean criminal record. The suspect faces charges of aggravated resistance for kicking and punching police officers. Judge Maria Idria Gurgo validated the arrest and imposed the alternative measure, despite prosecutor Aurora Stasi requesting jail time. This is the second ruling issued today, following a reporting obligation for a 21-year-old also charged with resistance. Decisions for the remaining four detainees will be filed tomorrow.
