French 2027 Poll: Le Pen Would Beat Mélenchon in Runoff

cnews.fr (French) —

A new Ifop poll for LCI, Le Figaro, and Sud Radio shows Jean-Luc Mélenchon qualifying for the second round of the 2027 presidential election in nearly all scenarios, but Marine Le Pen would win decisively in every runoff matchup. The poll, published Tuesday, gives Le Pen between 34% and 38% of first-round votes, roughly double Mélenchon's 15% to 20%. He narrowly leads Édouard Philippe (12-16%) and Raphaël Glucksmann, who ties him at 16% if Gabriel Attal runs for the central bloc. In the second round, Le Pen would beat Mélenchon by 68% to 32%, with her smallest margin being 12 points against Philippe. Bruno Retailleau polls at 5-7%, David Lisnard at 7%, and Marine Tondelier at 2.5-3%. The survey of 2,081 people was conducted October 17-19 with a margin of error between 1 and 2.2 points.
