Ukrainian Drone Strike Kills One in Russia's Samara Region

A Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Samara region killed one person and wounded four others overnight, the local governor said Tuesday. The strike targeted civilian areas, including private houses and cars. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported the casualties on Telegram, adding that dozens of drones were shot down by air defenses across the Volga region. The area hosts strategically important oil refineries and military factories. Samara's mayor, Ivan Noskov, said air defenses thwarted a massive attack on the city, located more than 1,000 kilometers southeast of Moscow. The incident is part of ongoing cross-border strikes in the conflict.
