Ukrainian Brigade Shows How It Shoots Down Russian Jet-Powered Shaheds

Ukrainian soldiers from the 28th Mechanized Brigade have released video footage showing their air defense units successfully shooting down Russian jet-powered Shahed drones and other Russian aerial targets. The brigade reported destroying several dozen strike and reconnaissance drones. The air defense units of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Knights of the Winter Campaign confirmed successful interceptions of Russian jet-powered Shahed drones, Italmas, Skat, and KVO unmanned aerial vehicles. Each destroyed target represents saved lives, homes, and equipment, according to the brigade's statement accompanying the video. On Sunday, September 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia attacked Ukraine with over 2,000 strike drones, most of them jet-powered, along with 1,700 glide bombs and 19 missiles over the past week. The footage highlights ongoing Ukrainian efforts to counter Russian aerial assaults amid sustained drone warfare.
