Russia launches Kalibr and drone strikes on Ukraine on September 22

On the night of Tuesday, September 22, Russian forces launched a missile attack on Ukraine, firing Kalibr cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea and ballistic missiles from Russia's Voronezh region. The attack targeted Kyiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhye, causing casualties and damage. In Kyiv, strikes were recorded in three districts, damaging a five-story building and a private home, with four people injured. In Dnipro, a massive attack using various missiles and drones killed three people, with a rescue operation ongoing under the rubble of an enterprise. Zaporizhye experienced two strikes damaging buildings but no casualties. Monitoring channels reported that Russia used hypersonic Zircon missiles and North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles against Dnipro. The first Kalibr missiles entered Ukrainian airspace after 2:30 AM, with additional threats from Kursk and Rostov regions. Explosions were also reported in Krivoy Rog, Pavlograd, and Kremenchug.
