Russian Strike Hits Silpo Distribution Center in Odesa

A Russian strike hit a distribution center for the Silpo supermarket chain in Odesa overnight on September 21, causing a fire but no casualties, according to the company's press service. The network is currently assessing the damage and adjusting its operations. The State Emergency Service reported that the warehouse facilities had been targeted previously and caught fire during this latest attack. Industry data indicates that over 300,000 square meters of warehouse space across Ukraine have been destroyed in the past six months, with major losses affecting companies like Nova Poshta, ATB, and Roshen. Producers and suppliers may raise prices on certain goods by 15–20% to offset losses and increased logistics costs. The National Bank of Ukraine estimates that rebuilding supply chains after attacks on civilian infrastructure will add 0.4–0.6 percentage points to annual inflation by the end of 2026.
