Ukrainian drone attack kills one in Russia's Samara region

A Ukrainian drone attack on civilian areas in Russia's Samara region killed one person and wounded four others overnight, the local governor said on Tuesday. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said the drones struck private houses and cars. Dozens of drones were also shot down by air defenses in the Volga region, which hosts oil refineries and military factories. Samara's mayor said air defenses thwarted a massive attack on the city, located more than 1,000 km southeast of Moscow.
