Ukraine Launches Largest-Ever Drone Attack on Moscow, Killing Three

Ukraine launched its largest-ever drone attack on Moscow, with Russian forces reporting they shot down over 1,900 drones overnight, according to Russia's Defense Ministry. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called the assault "unprecedented," saying 450 drones were intercepted near the capital. The attack struck the Gazpromneft-Moscow Oil Refinery, a power station, warehouse, and market, with residential buildings also hit. Three people were killed and 20 injured, including three children, while all three of Moscow's main airports grounded flights. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes targeted facilities generating "billions of dollars that sustain the war machine." The barrage came during Russia's parliamentary election, which Sobyanin claimed was intended to disrupt, though the Kremlin-run ballot is unlikely to challenge Putin's grip on power.
