Russian strike on 1902 Zaporizhzhia university building sparks large fire

Russian forces struck the oldest building of Zaporizhzhia National University, constructed in 1902, during a drone attack on the city overnight, causing a large fire at the historic structure. Eight people were wounded in the attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district, according to Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the regional Defense Council. The university building, which previously housed a women's gymnasium, was hit but no casualties were reported there. The strikes also damaged residential buildings and a shopping center in Zaporizhzhia. In Kharkiv region, one person was killed and three injured in Lozova, while in Sumy, a woman died and a man was wounded in separate drone and aviation attacks.
