Ukraine downs 148 of 172 Russian drones in overnight attack across multiple regions

Russia attacked Ukraine with 172 drones and "Banderoly" on the night of September 21, with air defense forces shooting down 148 targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. The attack caused damage and casualties across multiple regions. In Zaporizhzhia, drones struck two nine-story buildings, a shopping center, and an educational facility, injuring five people. In Dnipropetrovsk region, over 10 attacks hit two districts, wounding a 20-year-old woman. In Cherkasy region, six drones were downed with no injuries reported. Additional attacks hit Sumy, where a woman was killed and her husband wounded, as well as Kyiv region, Odesa, and Kramatorsk, where an evacuation point was bombed, resulting in casualties.
