Moscow's largest refinery halts output after Ukrainian drone strikes

The facility processed 11.6 million tons of crude in 2024, producing gasoline, diesel, and bitumen, with fuel sales suspended from September 21. US President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop attacks on Russian refineries, citing concerns over global diesel shortages and rising prices, according to the Financial Times. The two leaders are scheduled to meet Tuesday at the UN General Assembly in New York.
